In many ways, a school can indeed be considered a second home for a child. It is a place where they grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually. By providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, schools play a crucial role in shaping a child’s future. “This school is truly a second home, it creates an environment that nurtures all aspects of a child’s development. This includes not only academic and extracurricular activities but also providing support for mental and emotional health,” shares Sejal Janeth whose daughter Anaaya studies in class V at Apeejay School, Nerul.

Read on to know why this mother is all praises for this school.

How has Anaaya’s journey been so far at school?

My child is inquisitive and seeks knowledge on her own, but I can say that with Apeejay she is on a path of growth. With the projects given by the teachers, I just have to guide her, and the rest is efficiently taken care of by my child and the school. She has her thought process and ideas for everything now.

 How are the teachers here?

They have always been kind towards my child. During the two years of COVID-19, the teachers gave personal attention to Anaaya. I have seen how the teachers have made a difference in her character and personality. They have instilled a sense of confidence in her. The school has a concept of making children do everything by themselves like annual day preparation, school magazine work, and other similar activities.

What about the extracurricular activities at school?

The school curriculum is research and skill-based. I have seen how teachers motivate my daughter to participate and explore her innate potential. Recently, Anaaya got selected in the Throw Ball and One-legged Tag (langdi) competition and performed well.

Why did you select Apeejay as an admission choice?

Apeejay has always ranked amongst the top schools in Nerul and I like the entrance programme here. The school culture encourages diversity and children from different backgrounds come there. Second, I have always heard good things about Apeejay since my childhood days and when I saw Anaaya performing well, I decided to put my younger son in the same school. The school asks children to be creative and this helps them become collective in their thoughts and progress by working hard which builds a child’s character wonderfully.

Do you agree that school is the second home for a child?

I agree with this. My children spend a lot of time at school not only studying but gathering varied experiences for their childhood. The value system this school caters to is in coherence with my beliefs. All this was aligned with how I wanted my children to grow up.
