Each one of us has a favourite sportsperson whom we admire and love watching play. Where there is great admiration, there is always great character and success. While we admire the sportsperson we love, it makes sense for us to apply their special traits in a meaningful way in every activity we do as students—be it studies or sports.

Mary Kom: Rising above stereotypes

Mary Kom’s story is remarkable as she has worked her way up, crossing all gender stereotypes, to become a champion boxer. Even though her father was against her boxing, she secretly continued. Mary Kom’s life is a testimony that losing doesn’t mean you can give up.

M.S. Dhoni: Focus on the process

We all admire MS Dhoni’s batting and captaincy because of his cool nature. Dhoni has taught us that the process is more important than the results. If you take care of the process, you will get the results.

Virat Kohli: Consistency and passion

Virat Kohli’s consistency has helped him evolve as a captain and a player. Kohli once said, “Whatever you want to do, do it with full passion and work really hard towards it.
