Precision and perseverance shine at the Inter-House table tennis championship
Students display agility, focus, and sportsmanship in an action-packed tournament at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri.
The Inter-House Table Tennis Championship for Senior Boys and Girls at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, brought together skill, determination, and sportsmanship as students from Gautam, Kabir, Nanak, and Vivekananda Houses competed with enthusiasm on 15 July 2026. The tournament was organised to encourage physical fitness, strategic thinking, and healthy competition while reinforcing the importance of discipline and teamwork.
The championship witnessed a series of exciting matches, with participants displaying impressive agility, quick reflexes, and tactical brilliance. Every game reflected the players’ dedication, confidence, and commitment to fair play. The lively support from fellow students added to the spirited atmosphere, motivating participants to perform at their best.
In the Senior Girls’ category, Nanak House emerged as the champion after delivering consistent performances throughout the tournament. Kabir House secured the second position, while Vivekananda House finished third following closely fought contests.
The Senior Boys’ competition was equally engaging, with Vivekananda House claiming the championship through excellent coordination and match-winning performances. Kabir House finished as runners-up, while Gautam House secured the third position, demonstrating resilience and determination.
Beyond the competition, the tournament offered students an opportunity to strengthen their sporting abilities, sharpen decision-making skills, and experience the value of teamwork under pressure. Participants displayed discipline, respect for their opponents, and unwavering enthusiasm, making the championship a memorable sporting event.
The tournament concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony led by the Principal of the school, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, who congratulated the winners and applauded every participant for their dedication and sporting spirit. Addressing the students, he emphasised the importance of balancing academics with sports, noting that games help develop leadership, resilience, confidence and a healthy lifestyle.
