‘My daughter loves the holistic environment this school has’

Excerpts from an interview

What made you choose Apeejay for your daughter?

We were already familiar with Apeejay through some friends whose children were at the school. We went with their recommendation. Fortunately, my daughter has made excellent progress over time.

How has been her experience?

It has been exceptionally successful, which brings great happiness. Over time, it’s been wonderful to witness significant progress and her great achievements. The most glaring is that my daughter was an introvert. But this school has made her an extrovert and she expresses herself well now.

Is she involved in any extracurricular activities?

Yes, she is a member of the coding club and actively participates in Model United Nations (MUN), debates, and other engaging activities.

How do you manage her phobia about exams?

I often encourage her to stay focused on her subjects and not to worry, reassuring her that these exams are similar to the usual ones. The key is to believe in herself and her abilities. We, as parents, don’t put pressure on her that she has to get a certain percentage. We encourage her to work hard. 

Is she socially active with her peers and teachers at school?

Yes, she is quite outgoing and exudes a lot of confidence. Moreover, she enjoys the environment that the school provides.

How do you spend quality time with your daughter?

I am a working mother, so our evenings together at the dinner table are precious. We make sure to have at least one meal together. That is when we discuss everything from her day at school to her friends to what was taught in the class; we also go for walks at night.  We enjoy planning vacations together and make it a point to take her on trips regularly.

How do you help her study at home?

Until she reached class VIII, my husband and I were involved in assisting her with her studies. Now, she is more independent and studies on her own, though she seeks help for subjects like Math and Science. We are always here to support and guide her whenever she has any doubts or needs assistance.

What do you appreciate the most about this school?

She has gained a wealth of knowledge and numerous opportunities, developing strong social skills and a confident demeanor. The school environment has played a crucial role in her remarkable growth and success.
