Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is crucial for people of all ages, especially in today’s fast-paced world. With stress and unhealthy food options becoming increasingly prevalent, adopting a healthy lifestyle is more important than ever. Not only does it help prevent various diseases, but it also improves physical and mental well-being. As schools play a vital role in shaping students’ lives, it becomes imperative that they must spread awareness among students on the importance of a healthy lifestyle from a young age.

Thus, realising the need to promote healthy habits among its students, Apeejay School, Noida recently organised a special assembly, which was conducted by students of class 8 D. The assembly focused on the importance of eating well, being active, and adopting healthy habits.

The special gathering began with a play that compared healthy food choices to junk food. The play was designed to educate the students on the negative impact of consuming unhealthy foods. It showed how choosing healthier options can improve overall health and prevent health problems. The play was well-received by the audience, who appreciated the message it conveyed.

Following the play, a dance performance was presented on “Mahamrityunjay” mantra. The performance had a spiritual aspect to it and highlighted the importance of taking care of our body and mind. It conveyed the message that a healthy and fulfilling life can be achieved by adopting a healthy lifestyle and eating nutritious food.

The assembly was a great way to raise awareness about healthy food choices and lifestyle. It encouraged the students to make good choices and be active, which are essential for leading a healthy and happy life.

In addition to the play and dance performance, the assembly included a talk on the importance of a balanced diet. The speech of the students  emphasised the need to include all essential nutrients in daily diet, such as proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. The talk was informative and gave the students a better understanding of the importance of a balanced diet.

In the end, the school management congratulated the students of 8 D for their excellent efforts in organising such a meaningful and educational assembly. The initiative taken by the students was appreciated and encouraged by all, hoping that the assembly would inspire all the students to adopt healthy choices in the future.

Overall, the assembly was a great success and played a crucial role in creating awareness about healthy food habits, balanced diet and lifestyle. It was an excellent initiative taken by the students and served as a reminder of the importance of leading a healthy and fulfilling life.

Advay of Class 8 D shared his thoughts on the meaningful assembly, stating, “I gained valuable insights about maintaining a healthy lifestyle through the assembly. The play taught me that while it’s difficult to completely eliminate junk food, we can make an effort to reduce its consumption. The video showcased at the assembly emphasised the importance of staying active and understanding what is right and wrong when it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I will strive to improve my life based on what I have learned.”

Mehar Khurana, another student from 8 D, expressed, “Nurturing oneself is not selfishness; it’s essential for survival and well-being.” With this quote in mind, I learned from the assembly that our health should be a top priority. We chose this topic because many people, especially young individuals and teenagers, consume unhealthy food regularly, which is detrimental to their well-being. Our aim was to educate them about the negative effects of junk food on health and motivate them to adopt healthier eating habits. We genuinely hope that after witnessing the assembly, students will make healthier food choices.”
