Since when did you start drawing?
I have always loved drawing. I started drawing when I was in Nursery grade and I was inspired by my mother to take up art. That’s when the journey began.
Which art form is your favourite and why?
My favorite artform is sketching and painting. It’s like playing with colors when I am painting and it also improves my concentration.
How does your school support you as an artist?
My school and especially my art teacher Pallavi ma’am support and inspire me a lot. She always tells me to participate in different competitions. I am inspired by her as well. I learn a lot from her.
What is your definition of art?
Art is a way by which I express myself creatively. It’s like telling a story or sharing a feeling but instead of using words, I use colours, shapes, and materials to create something unique and meaningful.
Whether it’s a painting, sketching, or something else, art allows me to show the world how I want to see and experience things and how they can be enjoyed and interpreted in many different ways.
How much time does it take you to complete an artwork? What are the common ideas and themes?
It takes me around 2 hours to complete an artwork. If it’s a painting then two hours to be precise and usually an hour at most for sketches.
Any upcoming artwork?
My upcoming artworks are based on Shri Ganesha and Lord Shiva.
A new artform you wish to learn?
I would like to learn abstract art as it’s something new that does not represent any accurate depiction. It is truly unique and it captivates me a lot.
Do you pursue any other hobbies in addition to art?
My hobbies other than drawing are dancing and playing the casio. I really like that.
