Importance of Familial Ties

The renowned American poet and civil rights activist, Maya Angelou once said, “I sustain myself with the love of family”. This quote is perfect to describe my bond with my family.
The sweetest moment in my day is that one hour when I play with my little brother. It just makes my day! I often sit in a dark corner with my grandfather, sipping coffee with him and reading some books. The activity relaxes me and freshens my mind completely.
When one lives with their family, one often begins to take them for granted. But when they live far away from them, they realise, “Oh how much I miss them!”
For most of us, our families are an integral part of our lives. Only family members forgive the number of mistakes you may have committed and accept you as you are.
Right from our infancy when we could barely stand up on our feet, to supporting us and making us responsible individuals, they stand by us like a rock-solid force to help us face the world courageously.
In today’s hyper-connected world, it is easy to get exposed to unhealthy ideas and thoughts. However, a close family with strong values can help us avoid negative influences.
Life is surely full of ups and downs. Some friends may or may not be there in your time of need but family will always stay.
