Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, once again became a vibrant hub of professional enrichment as the Gyan Sudha In-service Teacher Training initiative continued its impactful journey. This initiative, designed to empower teachers with modern methodologies and tools, witnessed another fruitful day of collaboration, learning, and self-reflection. Under the guiding motto “Enlighten, Engage, Empower”, today’s sessions offered insights into the evolving landscape of education.
The day commenced with an invigorating session by Ms Harmanjeet Kaur, PRT (Computer Science), titled “Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Classroom.” As technology becomes increasingly integrated into the fabric of education, Ms Kaur walked participants through the practical uses of AI to enhance teaching effectiveness.
She underscored the significance of using these tools responsibly, ensuring that while technology augments teaching, the human connection in education remains central. Her session left educators reflecting on how AI can be their ally in classrooms without replacing the personal touch that students need.

Next, Ms Anjumandeep Kaur, TGT (Hindi), conducted a thought-provoking session on “Creative and Critical Thinking.” Focusing on the development of higher-order thinking skills, she encouraged teachers to rethink their traditional approaches. Her engaging strategies revolved around inquiry-based learning, encouraging curiosity, and applying logic to real-life situations.
The educator emphasised the teacher’s role in transforming rote learning into meaningful engagement. Her interactive style kept the audience involved and inspired teachers to incorporate these techniques into their daily lesson plans.
The third session of the day took a more introspective turn with Ms Rajni Bhatia, Pre-Primary teacher, who led a calming and highly relevant session on “Stress Management in Educational Settings.” Recognising the emotional and mental demands of teaching, she offered a blend of practical and therapeutic solutions, including breathing exercises, mindfulness activities, and time-balancing tips. Her warm approach created a safe space for teachers to share their challenges, acknowledge stress, and learn how to maintain personal wellness while fulfilling their professional responsibilities.

The presence of School Principal Mr AK Sharma and Vice-principal Ms Loveleen Bagga throughout the sessions added to the motivational spirit of the day. The programme culminated with an inspiring address by the Principal, who applauded the faculty for their unwavering dedication and openness to evolve. He emphasised the importance of adapting to change, staying curious, and leading with innovation in classrooms.
By blending technology, pedagogy, and well-being, Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, continues to raise the bar for teacher training and professional growth — fostering an environment where educators are truly enlightened, engaged, and empowered.
