Young athletes bring sporting honours in swimming and kickboxing

Apeejay School, Tanda Road, students shine at the District Sports Championships

Recently, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, recorded a series of sporting achievements at the Kheda Watan Punjab Dia District Championships 2026, with students earning medals in swimming and kickboxing. The competitions, held from 28 to 30 September 2026, brought recognition to young athletes across the U-14 Boys and Girls categories.

Swimming success at Sports College, Jalandhar

At the Kheda Watan Punjab Dia District Swimming Championship 2026, held at Sports College, Jalandhar, Devnoor Singh Dhaliwal delivered an impressive performance in the U-14 Boys category. He clinched Gold in the 200m Individual Medley and followed it with another Gold in the 100m Backstroke.

Gurshaan Singh Mann added two more Gold medals to the tally. Competing in the same age category, he secured Gold in both the 50m and 100m Breaststroke events. The results marked a strong showing for the school’s young swimmers across different events.

Silver for Harkunwar Singh Dhuper

The U-14 Boys category brought another medal for the school. Harkunwar Singh Dhuper secured Silver in the minus 47 kg category at the same kickboxing championship.

U-14 Girls shine in kickboxing

The school’s young kickboxers also earned medals at the Kheda Watan Punjab Dia District Kickboxing Championship 2026. The championship was held at PAP Indoor Stadium from 28 to 30 September 2026.

In the U-14 Girls category, Samriddhi Sharma won Gold in the minus 32 kg category. Aadhya Kapoor secured Bronze in the minus 37 kg category, while Prizleen Kaur earned Bronze in the minus 42 kg category.

Across swimming and kickboxing, the students returned with four Gold medals, one Silver and two Bronze medals. Their performances reflected skill, determination and sporting spirit across both championships.

The achievements also gave the young athletes another opportunity to represent their school through competitive sport and add to its sporting record. Each result came in a clearly defined event or weight category.
