Overall development of children at school is indispensable for nurturing well-adjusted, competent, and compassionate individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society. “This school follows a comprehensive educational approach that prioritises academic, social, emotional, and physical development is essential for unlocking each child’s full potential and preparing them for a fulfilling and productive life,” expresses Dr. Sanat Kumar Sahu whose son Swastik studies in class IX at Apeejay School, Saket.

Excerpts from the interview

Why did you select Apeejay for your child?

When it was time for admission for Swastik, we started looking around for the best possible school that would meet all our requirements. It was then we zeroed down on Apeejay because I felt and observed that this school gave individual attention to the growth of each kid.

How are the teachers here?

All the teachers are readily available for us over the phone or otherwise, which is very helpful. Even during regular PTMs they are extremely cooperative and supportive. Even the teaching pattern and style is extraordinarily amazing.

What kind of activities does your son enjoy at school?

My son has been fond of several activities at school. His most favourite are drawing and classical singing. Apart from that he is also an avid badminton player and is learning the nuances of the game at school.

How is the school infrastructure and facilities?

The school building is beautifully well maintained and hygiene wise its top class. From the washrooms to the classrooms, every part looks aesthetic and clean.

How has your son’s school journey been so far?

My son is now 13 years old and I have seen him growing up to become a more confident and disciplined boy. I still recall the time when he was in junior classes and he couldn’t speak fluently and feel nervous, but now he has turned into a fluent speaker. He has imbibed leadership qualities and even received the coveted Dr Stya Paul award at school.

Define your parenting style?

As a parent I believe in guiding my children at every step of life. Currently I am also involved in their academics and assess their performance on a time to time basis. I also keep indulging in regular conversation with them about all possible things.

Do you believe that school is the second home for a child?

I totally resonate with this thought because we send our children to school for 8 to 9 hours daily, so we expect them to get honed in a certain fruitful manner. Like every parent, I would also like the school to have a positive influence over my children’s personality and growth.
