Nursery student Mishita Kumar fell ill after the first week of school. Her mother Mansi says the class teacher has assured her that when the school reopens after the summer break, she would do her best to help Mansi catch up. Meanwhile, she is also helping Mansi’s mother to teach her at home. In an interview, Mansi, a homemaker, shares why she chose Apeejay, what her daughter has learned so far, and more. Edited excerpts:

What made you choose Apeejay International Greater Noida for your daughter?

My husband and I went to many schools but found Apeejay International Greater Noida to be the best. One of the students from the school who lives in our neighbourhood told me the school was very good and the teachers were very cooperative and understanding. She assured us that the overall environment at school is very friendly. So, we were confident about enrolling our child here.

What was your first impression of the school? How was your interaction with the faculty during admission?

We felt very positive when we went to the school for admission. Every member of the school—from the teachers to the non-teaching staff—was very friendly and spoke to us very nicely. The school principal was equally cordial. We liked each and every aspect of the school.

How well is Mishita learning?

Mishita joined the school in April, but she could only attend classes for a week after which she fell ill. However, her class teacher Nisha ma’am helped me with all the books and worksheets to teach her at home. She helped me throughout by clarifying all my doubts—she explained everything about the classwork and homework on the phone.

Nisha ma’am constantly encouraged me to teach her as much as I could and assured me that the remaining would be taken care of by her. Mishita is learning about the five senses, body parts, etc.

Is your daughter taking an interest in things she is learning?

Very much so! She has been assigned some fun activities as part of her holiday homework like drawing and colouring. With my help, she is happily doing it all.
