Yes Jaipur the pink city, though it is not pink anymore it still remains the most beautiful city in Rajasthan. There are diverse places to visit in this city such as forts, palaces, temples among others to get that vibe of the culture but the most favourite place or you can say the most attractive gem is CHOKI DHANI. If you are planning to visit Jaipur put Choki Dhani on your list.
It is the oldest resort established in 1980 where you will get the taste of life in Rajasthan. Choki Dhani itself means a special village with unique architecture that reflects the grandeur of Rajasthani tradition. The resort has series of rebuilt huts with cow dung plasters and painted walls. The rooms are filled with great amenities and you can spend a wonderful day with your family and friends.
We went to Jaipur in the month of November on a three-day trip and we were all certain to keep one day assigned to visit this place. The timings of visit to this place were from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Meanwhile, we visited other places before we booked a cab for this most awaited place to be visited in our list. There are other ways also to reach this place such as private taxi or Rajputana cabs that will charge Rs 900 for to-and-fro trip. It was a 45 minute journey from our hotel that too because of rush. The visitors were welcomed with Tilak and flowers. We took tickets which were very expensive but it was worth buying it. As we entered the village I felt I entered into some other world. I was so astonished to see that village was packed with people. People were chattering “Aise photo lo meri”, “Iske samne photo lo”, “Yaar kya badhia khana tha”, etc.
Why should you visit this village?
People who are fond of eating variety of foods/exotic foods, this place is for you. There are options of body relaxation and rejuvenation in the premise. The best option is the Sansha Spa with its authentic Ayurvedic massage that will do wonders with your mind and body.
If you are ‘shopaholic’ then it’s best to buy items from Kala Gram where you can find decor items, paintings, textiles, accessories and a lot more.
Puppet and magic shows are particularly appealing to kids. For adults it is a good place to make Instagram stories and show people where you are. Mehendi artists also crowd here near Kala gram.
Another attraction element is the camel ride.
Last but not the least are the dance performances. Rajasthan is marked for its flamboyant dances – Ghoomar, Terah –Taali Manjira , Bhopa-Bhopi, Chari danc . The dancers dance so gracefully that one cannot take his eyes off.
