This Jalandhar institute organises an informative session on Central Excise Day

Every year, Central Excise Day is observed in the month of February to recognise and honour the contributions made by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).

Thus, to honour their dedication and commitment, the Finance Club of Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar recently celebrated “Central Excise Day.”

The aim of this celebration was to make students aware about the importance of taxation and the role of the Central Excise Department in generating revenue for the country.

During the event, Neha Mishra, the President of Finance Club, gave an informative presentation on the significance of central excise duty.

In addition, this event helped students learn about the functions and operations of the Central Excise Department and its contribution to the nation’s economy.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, the Director of AIMETC, appreciated the President of the Finance Club for the wonderful presentation and sensitised students on this important topic.

MBA student Manya Wadhera of AIMETCsaid, “This event has provided us with an opportunity to understand about the functions and operations of the Central Excise Department.”

Another student, Simran Sokhi of MBA, semester- 4 expressed, “Such seminars have immense importance for students of BBA, MBA, B om as it adds a lot to our knowledge.”

In the end, Dr. Anu Sahi, Convenor, and Ms. Hardeep Kaur, Coordinator, praised the members of the Finance Club for their efforts and encouraged the students to join in for more celebrations like these to get themselves educated on significant topics.
