Read edited excerpts:

Since when did your drawing journey start?

I have started drawing since 2014. I was 5 years old then. I have always liked art since I do not even remember when and it has always been a passion.

Which art form is your favourite?

Abstract painting and acrylic painting are my favourite forms of art. I have been practicing these art forms since long and they have become my areas of interest.

How does your school support you as an artist?

The extra-curricular scenario is very active in my school. Participation in many inter-school art competitions and exhibitions through my school has helped me gain exposure. It has helped me in making connections with senior artists which in turn has facilitated in improving my skills.

Every artist has their vision of art. What is your definition of art?

Art is a broad and subjective term that encompasses various forms of human expression but mainly creativity, and communication. It refers to the creation of visual, or performance-based works that evoke emotions, provoke thought, or convey ideas and concepts. Art is a medium through which individuals express their imagination, feelings, and perspectives about the world. It is something very special for me.

How much time does it take you to complete one artwork? What are the common ideas and themes?

The time taken to complete an abstract painting can range from a few hours for a smaller piece to several weeks or even months for larger, more intricate works. Ultimately, the creative process and the artist’s individual approach play a significant role in determining the time required to bring an abstract painting to completion.

Landscapes are my favorite subject. Depicting natural scenery, such as mountains, forests, rivers, and skies is a classic and enduring subject in painting. I cherish it a lot.

In portraits, I like capturing the likeness and character of individuals or groups, including self-portraits. In still life, I like arranging and painting inanimate objects like flowers, fruits, vases, or everyday items. This form allows artists to experiment with composition and lighting. I also like abstract paintings. These focus on shapes, colors, and forms without representing recognizable objects, offering a wide range of creative freedom.

 Any upcoming artwork?

I am going to work on artworks that spread the message of nature and wildlife conservation

A new art form you wish to learn?

Realism! This style aims to depict subjects in a highly accurate and detailed manner, often resembling a photograph. I also aim to learn impressionism. Impressionist paintings capture the fleeting effects of light and atmosphere with loose brushwork and vibrant colours.

Lastly, what about life beyond art?

Playing sports is another passion of mine. I love lawn tennis and football the most. I enjoy playing them.
