Settling Kindergarten (KG) students in school can be a delicate process as they transition from home to a structured environment. “This school encourages children to express their feelings and provide positive reinforcement as they achieve small milestones that help build their confidence. With the support of teachers, parents, and peer buddies, my son has gradually developed a strong sense of belonging and excitement for school,” shares Jaideep Arora whose son Ikraaj studies in KG at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park.

Read on to learn how play-based learning, consistent routines, and the use of comfort items support the adjustment of students here.

Why did you choose Apeejay for your child?

It is a well-known name in my friends and family circle. I was born and raised in North Delhi. All my childhood I’ve been competing with the students of Apeejay, School, Pitampura. Now, due to my and my spouse’s office, we’ve had to shift to this part of the city and we were fortunate enough that our child’s name got shortlisted in the first admission list.

How are the teachers here?

It’s been just two years and I have interacted with only two teachers so far. Yet it was a delight to talk to them during PTMs or whenever there were festival celebrations or cultural co-curricular activities.

How are the school infrastructure and facilities?

The school has a massive infrastructure, the ground is quite big with a basketball court, lawn tennis court, swimming pools, skating area, kindergarten play area, auditorium, theatre, and well-maintained canteen. There are dedicated entry and exit gates to avoid unnecessary crowds.

Which extracurricular activities does your child enjoy?

There are plenty of sports and cultural activities at school. Since he is quite young, he is still taking time to pick an area of interest. Though I do hope he’ll develop a keen liking for theatre like me. I just want him to spread his wings and fly high.

Is Apeejay like a second home for your child?

Right now he’s too small to facilitate the perks of going to school so we are looking forward to much merrier days infused with newer learnings and lessons. Just like us, I am sure my son will also miss his school once he passes out.

Are you happy and satisfied as a parent?

I am happy that this school and faculty are a part of his journey and are contributing to my child’s growth. With the stupendous infrastructure and efficient staff, my son is definitely in good hands.
