Day 2 of the Annual Appreciation Day at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, captivated the audience, infusing the atmosphere with joy and festivity

The Annual Appreciation Day at Apeejay Education unfolds as a vibrant canvas where we paint our gratitude and unveil the tapestry of our students’ recognitions, talents, and year-long hard work.

On the exhilarating Day 2 of the Annual Appreciation Day of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park took place on January 21, where the senior wing claimed the spotlight.

This year’s celebration tapped into the theme of Unboxed, a symphony echoing the influence of societal norms and preconceived notions. It delved into the art of breaking free from metaphorical boxes—those filled with prejudices, labels, gender expectations, religious stereotypes, and the intricate constructs woven by society.

The event was graced by Mr Bhupesh Chaudhary (IAS), Director, Training & Technical Education & Director of Higher Education who was the chief guest; Ms Reela Hota, an Odissi dancer as a guest of honour, Mrs Surabhi Joshi, Principal of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, Ms Vandana Bansal, the Vice-principal of the school, parents, students, and the alumni.

A green welcome was accorded to the esteemed guests by the school principal Mrs Joshi.

In a magnificent display of creative splendour, the occasion commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp amidst the chants of Ganesh Stuti followed by a riveting song and dance performance on the sufi song Kun Faya.

Attending the Annual Appreciation Day virtually, Dr Neha Berlia, Co-Promoter of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University warmly welcomed everyone, including the chief guest, guest of honour, parents, students, and other dignitaries. Dr Berlia connected with the audience through a recorded message and congratulated the achievers. She also encouraged others to work hard and chase their dreams. Keeping the legacy of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park alive, she resonated on the power of self-belief, and wisdom of words given by Swami Vivekananda.

She shared the inspiring vision of her late grandfather, Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul, who continues to guide Apeejay’s educational endeavours. This legacy is now carried forward by her mother, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University who remains a beacon of truth, wisdom, and excellence.

Taking the stage, Mrs Joshi celebrated the incredible journey of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, commemorating 48 years of excellence and accomplishment, alongside the remarkable talents exhibited by the students. She underscored the school’s commitment to cultivating young minds with top-notch education and global perspectives, striving for comprehensive development in moral, social, and spiritual dimensions.

Speaking at the function Mr Chaudhary said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to be here and standing in front of you. I am honoured and privileged to have this opportunity. I am amazed to see very smartly dressed students marching with their band dresses and lovely performances. I have no words to explain how thoroughly I have enjoyed all the performances. I know our country is in safe hands. These young minds are so excited, and enthusiastic and are all ready to learn new things and experiment with things out of the box,” Mr. Chaudhary said and added that the nature of his work has meant that he has visited several colleges and institutes.

“But this is the first time I have had the opportunity to interact with the school and I am stunned to see such a great school which is possible because of the teachers and the collaborative efforts of the students. I must congratulate all of the students who have put so much effort into making this a resounding success. I would also want to express my sincere belief in the ongoing debate over how will be the future of India’s economic growth, and how we can contribute to it,” Mr Chaudhary said and congratulated everyone. “Self-belief is the path forward and I am 100 per cent confident that society and the nation will support our progress if we keep believing in ourselves,” Mr Chaudhary asserted.

Speaking at the event, Ms Hota gave a very crisp yet intriguing speech. “Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed principal, Mrs Joshi, and the wonderful Apeejay team, I am truly honored to be present here on this momentous occasion. A heartfelt thank you for inviting me. The performances by the students have been nothing short of spectacular,” she said and laid innate emphasis on the art of dance.

“Stress has become our constant companion and we must indulge in activities like Zumba, yoga, dance, and sports to balance our well-being. These activities are not just for physical well-being but also mental health,” Ms Hota said and presented a highly engaging and captivating slideshow on yoga. Through the presentation, she elucidated the benefits of various postures, stressing how their regular practice can significantly enhance the quality of life.

“I aim to inspire students to embrace a holistic approach to well-being through the amalgamation of art, dance, and the ancient wisdom of yoga. Thank you for the warm welcome and the opportunity to share these insights. Apeejay Education is doing wonders in every form and I feel honoured to be a part of it, today,” Ms Hota said.

The function was also the day where the students were honoured for their outstanding contributions in various aspects, including value-based assemblies, participation in value education programmes, and involvement in the awakened citizen program and interact club. The recognition encompassed achievements in academics, with special prizes for top scorers as well as commendations for excellence in extracurricular activities.

The event also featured a special play, unraveling the captivating storytelling of The Tiger King. The entire programme reflected the incredible artistic and creative prowess of the students, adding a rich tapestry to the act of celebration. The gala evening reached its pinnacle with the grand finale; the students sang the National Anthem with patriotic fervor.

Ms Bansal, proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to one and all for the great success of the grand event. She acknowledged the valuable contributions of Dr VS Garg, Educational Advisor of Apeejay Education, and Mr Sharad Tiwari, Education Officer, along with principals of sister schools, alumni, principal, parents, and students.

The Annual Appreciation Day at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park concluded on a high note, marking a resounding success.
