On the exhilarating Day 2 of the Annual Appreciation Day of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park took place on January 21, where the senior wing claimed the spotlight.
This year’s celebration tapped into the theme of Unboxed, a symphony echoing the influence of societal norms and preconceived notions. It delved into the art of breaking free from metaphorical boxes—those filled with prejudices, labels, gender expectations, religious stereotypes, and the intricate constructs woven by society.
The event was graced by Mr Bhupesh Chaudhary (IAS), Director, Training & Technical Education & Director of Higher Education who was the chief guest; Ms Reela Hota, an Odissi dancer as a guest of honour, Mrs Surabhi Joshi, Principal of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, Ms Vandana Bansal, the Vice-principal of the school, parents, students, and the alumni.
A green welcome was accorded to the esteemed guests by the school principal Mrs Joshi.
In a magnificent display of creative splendour, the occasion commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp amidst the chants of Ganesh Stuti followed by a riveting song and dance performance on the sufi song Kun Faya.
Attending the Annual Appreciation Day virtually, Dr Neha Berlia, Co-Promoter of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University warmly welcomed everyone, including the chief guest, guest of honour, parents, students, and other dignitaries. Dr Berlia connected with the audience through a recorded message and congratulated the achievers. She also encouraged others to work hard and chase their dreams. Keeping the legacy of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park alive, she resonated on the power of self-belief, and wisdom of words given by Swami Vivekananda.
She shared the inspiring vision of her late grandfather, Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul, who continues to guide Apeejay’s educational endeavours. This legacy is now carried forward by her mother, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University who remains a beacon of truth, wisdom, and excellence.

I am amazed to see very smartly dressed students marching with their band dresses and lovely performances. I have no words to explain how thoroughly I have enjoyed all the performances. I know our country is in safe hands. These young minds are so excited, and enthusiastic and are all ready to learn new things and experiment with things out of the box,” Mr. Chaudhary said and added that the nature of his work has meant that he has visited several colleges and institutes.
“But this is the first time I have had the opportunity to interact with the school and I am stunned to see such a great school which is possible because of the teachers and the collaborative efforts of the students. I must congratulate all of the students who have put so much effort into making this a resounding success. I would also want to express my sincere belief in the ongoing debate over how will be the future of India’s economic growth, and how we can contribute to it,” Mr Chaudhary said and congratulated everyone. “Self-belief is the path forward and I am 100 per cent confident that society and the nation will support our progress if we keep believing in ourselves,” Mr Chaudhary asserted.
