With a passion for words and an insatiable love for literature, Ananya Vijayakumar is not only a talented writer but also an avid reader. She immerses herself in the enchanting world of books, constantly seeking inspiration from various genres and authors. However, Ananya’s journey doesn’t stop within the pages of books; she also nurtures a wanderlust spirit.

Tell us about your interests and hobbies.

It includes dancing, listening to music, doodling and reading novels.

Which authors interest you?

I am interested in reading novels, especially murder and horror mysteries. Some authors whose works I admire are Agatha Christie, Jeffrey Archer, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, just to name a few.

Tell us more about the process of writing: Memories of Kerala trip? Why did you pick this topic?

It all started with the class magazine work in our school. As part of it, I was asked to submit a few original articles. I had fresh memories about a recent trip I took, so I decided to share my experiences with everyone. It took me 2-3 days to complete this article.

Any special memory/experience from Kerala you want to share with us?

Kerala is known as ‘God’s Own Country’, this phrase stands absolutely true as the state is famous for its breath-taking backwaters that calm the soul. Magnificent temples, its Ayurveda heritage and aromatic spices, are truly special.

Any writing tips for your classmates?

Keep travelling and noting down all the fascinating facts you encounter. Collect moments and memories, not things.

Your career goal?

I want to pursue my interest in the field of Biotechnology. It holds the potential to provide today’s generation with an opportunity to explore new areas. Its demand is ever-increasing in sectors such as genetic engineering, healthcare, and medicine.
