Nvidia unveiled new AI-focused products at Taiwan’s Computex expo, where CEO Jensen Huang announced that “the next Industrial Revolution has begun.” Speaking to a packed stadium in Taipei, Huang highlighted the shift towards AI-driven data centers, termed “AI factories,” which aim to transform traditional data centers.

Huang introduced Nvidia ACE generative AI, designed to create lifelike avatars for industries such as customer support. He also showcased collaborations with companies like Foxconn and Siemens, leveraging Nvidia’s platforms for AI-powered autonomous robots.

While recently releasing its Blackwell platform, Huang teased an upcoming “ultra” version for 2025 and a new GPU architecture codenamed Rubin, emphasising Nvidia’s annual product release cycle. He predicted that generative AI would soon underpin nearly all internet and computer interactions.

Huang praised Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, noting its critical role in Nvidia’s operations and the global AI infrastructure. His visit included significant public and media interest, highlighted by his opening pitch at a Taipei baseball game and a dinner with Taiwan’s tech leaders, including Foxconn’s head.

Other key speakers at Computex included AMD’s Lisa Su and Qualcomm’s Cristiano Amon, who are expected to discuss AI advancements. Intel’s CEO Pat Gelsinger and Arm’s Rene Haas are also slated to present. Taiwan’s advanced semiconductor industry, pivotal for cutting-edge AI, is central to these discussions.

Foxconn, a major AI server producer, aims to increase its global market share to 40% this year. However, Taiwan’s critical role in semiconductor supply chains has raised geopolitical concerns, given its strained relations with China, which claims the island and has conducted military exercises around it.
