Ms Nidhi Gupta is the mother of Inaksh Gupta, a young spirited boy in the primary sections of Apeejay School Faridabad, Sector-15.

In a quick interview, she explains the transformation she has seen in her son since joining the school as well as shares how the world cup cricket mania has also touched her son. Read edited excerpts:

We hope your child is happy at school?

Yes, he is very happy at the school. He enjoys attending school, playing with his friends and learning with the teachers. To be honest,  we were quite worried in the beginning of the session last year as Inaksh attended his play school and Nursery classes in the online mode. So at the back of our head, there was a doubt, how will he cope up once the physical classes start. But, thanks to the school he passed through this transformation so easily.

You seem quite satisfied after enrolling him here?

Definitely yes. We are 100% satisfied with the school. The 360 degree development in the child’s nature, academic progress, discipline, and behaviour of the child are all possible only because of the school and its learned faculty. We are assured that our child is in a safe and secure environment.

How is his progress at the school?

He is doing great in his studies and the credit goes to all his teachers who have laid the foundation stones of academic wellbeing be it Paridhi mam, Seeme Singh ma’am or Aarti Puri Mam. He is also progressing in other activities like sports, dance, yoga and arts.

Which subjects does he like and dislike?

He is in love with Maths. Maths is like a medication for him, he loves solving new problems and never gets bored of it.

Any liking for sports?

He has been an active child in outdoor sports from the very early stage but he was not a fan of any specific game. He keeps on switching from one sport to another every now and then, like recently he is showing some extra interest in cricket due to the ICC World Cup probably. He plays cricket as and when he gets a chance but might switch to football or basketball anytime.

We guess he is just going with the flow, so he tries every new game that grabs his attention, but nothing favourite as of now.

What about extracurriculars?

Inaksh has always been inclined towards extra curricular activities be it indoor games, outdoor games or art and craft. Recently he has started sketching. That’s the new interest he has picked from the school.

Are the teachers teaching in a fun way with new learning techniques?

As far as we understand our child, for him interest is everything. He will learn new things only if he has an interest or motivation towards it.

The teachers at school keep making the learning process interesting at every stage. Due to this reason for him the studies don’t become some day to day activity rather it becomes an interesting goal for him to accomplish.

The way his perspective is changed for studies just because of the new learning techniques adopted by the teachers is commendable. And the result of the same is visible in his academic performance.
