Her son enjoys filling colours into pictures — whether in colouring books or images displayed on walls. He loves working with colours. And from Day 1, this parent was convinced that Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, is the right fit since his two cousins have studied here. “We were sure that whenever it came to choosing a school for Mitanshu (now in junior KG), it would be this school,” shared the mother, Jancy Bamba.

In a candid interview, she applauds the school and its teachers for discovering her son’s talent.

How has the school’s approach to education helped your son so far?

It has helped him a lot. In the beginning, my son was a little aggressive, but now he has changed considerably. The teachers are very good, caring, and take great care of the children.

How do you stay updated about your child’s learning and progress?

Every Monday, teachers share a weekly planner on WhatsApp. They also update us daily about what has been taught. Additionally, when I go to pick up my son, I get to meet the teacher personally. She gives me a daily update about what happened in class and how my son is doing.

Every child has a hidden talent. How is the school helping discover and nurture Mitanshu’s?

Initially, my son was scared to participate in activities. He would avoid yoga or dance classes. But now, he enjoys all the activities. This change happened because of the encouragement from his teacher, who guided him during nursery. She helped him settle, motivated him, and made him comfortable. Earlier, he would cry and refuse to go to school. Now, he happily attends.

How has the school environment impacted your child’s growth and confidence?

His behaviour and communication skills have improved a lot. Earlier, if someone greeted him, he wouldn’t respond. Now, he greets people on his own by saying ‘Good morning.’ His confidence and communication have grown significantly.

How are teachers helping to build confidence?

The teachers explain everything so well that children understand and retain it. I have noticed that if he can answer confidently at home, it is because of the teacher’s effort in class. My son understands things quickly and doesn’t forget easily. His teachers are constantly nurturing his learning.

What changes have you observed in him since joining school?

His Math has improved a lot. He now does it very well. Earlier, he couldn’t read English, but now he reads with confidence. His teachers encourage him so much that he even tries to read full sentences on his own.
