They say that the best education you’ll get is during travelling. And nothing teaches you more than exploring the world and accumulating experiences.

Therefore, just to travel is platitudinous. But if one travels with a purpose, it becomes all the more educational and exciting. Sharing this spirit, an educational trip to Agra was organised for the students of classes 4 and 5 of Apeejay School, Noida.

The day began early for the students. Soaked in morning air, they gathered around the school bus. Soon after seeking the blessings of the Lord Almighty, 124 students accompanied with 9 teacher-in-charges boarded the luxury coach and embarked on their journey.

On reaching their destination, students enjoyed a sumptuous lunch. The same day, they visited the magnificent Agra fort also known as the Red Fort, rebuilt by the Mughal emperor Akbar in 1565 and later completed in 1573. Students took a complete tour of the fort and jotted down their observations and learnings.

Later, teachers took them to some local markets to enjoy the numerous delicacies of the city.  Ms. Renu Gupta, trip in-charge and Primary teacher – (Hindi) in the school says, “The trip came as a good break for students post Covid-19. Right from their bus journey to staying in the hotel, every moment was memorable for them. They got a chance to bond with each other in a different setting. Their cheerful smiles and happy faces made us (teachers) feel content.”

On the next day, students visited the famous Taj Mahal. Its fine architecture and artistic grandeur coupled with perfect harmony and excellent craftsmanship inspired them.  The trip was a wonderful learning experience for the students. They returned home more aware, confident and responsible, as well as they inculcated the values of sharing, caring and team spirit.
