Hard work, dedication and willpower are symbolised on the Graduation Day. It is all about celebrating the strength of overcoming obstacles one faced through the year. What more? Tearful goodbyes and cheerful smiles are part of it too!

Rhythms Kinderworld School, Model Town in Punjab recently held a Graduation ceremony for Upper Kindergarten (UKG) students. With robes and caps on, tiny tots happily marched through the portals of the school.

The formal ceremony commenced with a dance performance by Lower Kindergarten students as they bid farewell to their senior friends. After this, the graduating batch thanked their teachers and parents through their speeches. All the children received graduation scrolls as a mark of accomplishment by Mr Malkiat Singh, Principal, Apeejay School Model Town and Ms Nidhi Ghai, Incharge, Pre-Primary in the school. And finally, the event concluded with a power-packed show by the outgoing batch of students.

When asked about the significance of conducting a Graduation ceremony for the little ones, Ms Ghai shared, “Learning happens step by step. In my view, students get smarter and sharper from the previous year. So, the event was to commemorate their accomplishments and instil in them a sense of responsibility. Every milestone is necessary, be it big or small.”

According to Ms Priyanka Aggarwal, mother of Kanishk Kumar Aggarwal, a UKG-B student, “The programme was wonderful as it was necessary to commemorate the extraordinary efforts of teachers and children. Sharing a similar sentiment, Ms Preeti Verma, mother of Mihir Verma (UKG-A) expressed her gratitude to the school at the function. She says, “It was a memorable day. When children go to school, they, along with their parents, form a close bond with teachers. Therefore, I would like to convey that my child is going to miss all the educators a lot, especially Ritu Ma’am.”

Ms Prairna Saini, mother of Dhruv Syal from UKG-A says, “The ceremony was perfectly organised and my son enjoyed it a lot. It is a great inspiration for all the kids.” Appreciating the efforts of the school, Ms Divya Kohli, mother of Aadit Raj Kohli says, “The celebration marked the constant pains taken by the teachers, students and Principal. I was delighted to be a part of it.”

Further, sharing a message for all students and parents, Ms Maninder Kaur, a Social Science educator in the school said, “My best wishes to everyone! The past year was full of challenges but together we made it! I am happy that our students surfed through the tide and soared high. May they continue to achieve great heights.”
