Centre likely to issue advisory on reopening schools across country

Centre is likely to issue an advisory soon to reopen schools in the country as Covid-19 vaccination for children under 15-18 age group has picked up pace. According to reports, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya has asked the National Expert Group to suggest ways and plan to reopen school amid the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation. The reopening will be done in a staggered manner under strict adherence to Covid protocols. The health minister on Thursday announced that 95 per cent of India’s eligible adult population has been administered the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine while 74 per cent are fully inoculated.
