A good hair colour can change the overall personality of a person. That’s why people prefer to spend lots of money and time to get it done from an expert. The professionals not only have experience of colouring hair, but also know the ways to make it last longer.

Thus, to make students learn straight from the professionals, Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, recently organised a field visit for B.Voc Beauty and Wellness students to Anthea Makeover Salon, where students learned about various hair colouring techniques and ways to  maintain it.

Ms. Anthea, Founder of Anthea Salon, guided the students about types of colouring as well as hair highlights. She also talked about the vital role of a healthy lifestyle and asserted that stress spoils the health of hair.

While addressing students, she said, “Before hair colouring, one should be aware about the natural texture of the hair and also the interest of the client.”

Further, she solved the queries of the students to their satisfaction regarding hair care.

Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA said, “It is very important to give practical knowledge to the students in vocational courses. It is our endeavour to keep introducing budding professionals to the new and innovative ways of doing things. Also, meeting the experts in the field will benefit students a lot.”

In the end, she appreciated the efforts of Mrs. Meenal Sandhu, Head of Department of Beauty and Wellness, for successfully organising this workshop.
