Internships play a key role in shaping one’s career. It not only helps students gain real exposure to working environments but also provides them with a platform to develop the necessary skills required to stand out in a competitive job market. This is exactly what students of School of Management Sciences (SoMS), Apeejay Stya University (ASU) are looking forward to experience.

Three first year students from the institute have been selected by The Capital Box, a financial consultancy firm that provides unparalleled consulting services, financial products and risk management strategies to individuals, families and businesses, for a paid internship.

These first year students pursuing their Bachelors in Marketing and Finance courses will be going for more than one month offline internship starting from July 2022. The interns will be paid a stipend of INR 10,000 per month based on their performance.

Excited about starting his first internship, Abhishek Sukla said, “The Capital Box is a very good company and getting this internship is a very big opportunity, especially in my very first year of college. Even though I am a finance student, I want to build my knowledge and develop skills in other areas such as sales and marketing. Through this internship, I will learn how a company works, how they source their funding as well as various marketing strategies. I will also be able to work on new ideas ”

Another student, Kashish Mishra said, “This is my first internship and I am really looking forward to it. I am ready to experience new things and take up challenges. My specialisation is marketing and I am looking at developing core skills in that area. ”

Sharing the same sentiment as his batchmate Kashish, Aryan Sharma said, “This internship will give us exposure to the real job market.  While I am nervous, I am also excited. I am nervous because this will be my first experience of working in a company but that also makes me excited. I am already preparing, reading about how the company functions and which all areas to focus on when working in a company. I am excited to explore this new journey.”
