Apeejay School, Pitampura celebrates Investiture Ceremony

Furthering its commitment towards instilling leadership among students, Apeejay School, Pitampura celebrated its second virtual Investiture Ceremony on August 9. The event was graced by Chief Guest, Mrs. Cheshta Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, North-West Delhi, Revenue Department.

The oath was initiated by Principal Mrs. Veena Goel followed by the induction ceremony wherein the title of the Head Prefect was awarded to Malvika Tiwari of class 12. The portfolios of Senior Apeejay Parliamentarians, Middle-School Apeejay Parliamentarians and Junior Apeejay Parliamentarians were announced during the ceremony.

The Principal further addressed the newly elected batch of students, delivering a motivational story about a Japanese soldier who proved to be a wonderful leader. She said, “True leadership lies in guiding others to success: ensuring that everyone is performing their best, doing the work they are pledging to do and doing it well.”

The Chief Guest, Mrs. Yadav advised the students about a career as a bureaucrat, inviting them to a tour into her office to get a first-hand understanding of the work. She said, “Your actions should speak for you.”

A vote of thanks was proposed by senior school academic coordinator Mrs. Savita Panhotra. She thanked everyone including the IT team comprising Ms. Sarika Minocha and Ms. Meenakshi Verma and all Apeejaites for their efforts. The event was anchored by Adit Madan of class 11 and Sargun.S. Juneja of class 9.

The cherry on the cake was a virtual group photograph of the Apeejay Parliamentarians with their parents.
