Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar sets the tone for a new academic year filled with growth, creativity, and excellence
The College holds a special havan ceremony for an auspicious beginning of new academic journey
It’s not just special for students but also for the institute when a batch of new joinees walk into the campus to begin their academic journey. This special beginning was marked at Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar as it welcomed the students for the new academic session by holding an enriching havan ceremony.
The new batch of students invoked blessings to ensure a prosperous and harmonious journey ahead. As the flames of the havan rose, teachers offered samidha into the holy fire, extending their heartfelt wishes for the students’ bright and successful future.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra addressed the gathering as she warmly welcomed the new students into the Apeejay family. She emphasised, “The college’s continued success and excellence are rooted in the inspiration drawn from the visionary Founder Chairman, Dr. Stya Paul, and the dynamic leadership of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education, along with Dr. Neha Berlia, Co-promoter, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Joint Secretary, Apeejay Education, and Pro-chancellor, Apeejay Stya University.
Speaking to the students, Dr. Dhingra remarked that by choosing Apeejay, they have taken their first step towards a promising and empowered future. She highlighted, “Nearly 70% of the faculty members possess doctorate degrees and bring over two decades of teaching experience,” thus assuring students of a robust academic foundation.
Dr. Dhingra also highlighted the college’s commitment to holistic development, noting that students will have ample opportunities to participate in competitions across a wide spectrum—academics, sports, music, dance, fine arts, and applied arts—at district, state, national, and even international platforms.
The ceremony was further elevated by a soulful bhajan performance by Tanishq Arora from the Department of Music. Guided by Dr. Arun Mishra, the performance radiated devotion and serenity, with Shivam on harmonium and Sahil on tabla complementing the vocals beautifully.
The spiritual ambiance was enriched as Dr. Dhingra and faculty members showered flowers upon the students, symbolising blessings, love, and a warm welcome to college life.
The event concluded on a note of joy and reverence, setting the tone for a year filled with growth, creativity, and academic excellence at Apeejay College of Fine Arts.
