‘Adoption of technology in SMEs will lead to sustainable finance and accounting practices’

At NEP Conclave 2022 held in Bengaluru, Apeejay professor talks about the importance of integrating new-age tech in all sectors



While virtually addressing at the 75th ‘Amrut Mahotsav’ of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Sansthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said a forward-looking and futuristic education system was being created in the country through the new National Education Policy (NEP). Undoubtedly, for a bright future for India, the education policy and institutes will have to play a big role. 

In fact, education empowers young minds, in particular, by increasing their chances of getting jobs, staying healthy and participating fully in society. Education boosts a country’s development. Thus to discuss on the theme “Education that transforms”, an NEP Conclave 2022 was organised by NorthStar Academy, a leading provider of comprehensive training for CMA USA in the world, in Bengaluru.

The key objective of this event was to bring all the leading academicians and stalwarts in the field of higher education together and deliberate on National Education Policy, emerging technology, finance, accounting courses, and global finance courses, and how those courses lead to employability.

Prof. Anuj Kumar from Apeejay School of Management (ASM) was invited as keynote speaker. He spoke about the adoption of technology in SMEs and how that technology adoption leads to sustainable finance and accounting practices. He also quoted the example of the Khatabook application used by businesses in the small and medium category segments. “It was nice to connect with stalwarts in the field of higher education on such a global platform. I am thankful to Northstar Academy for organising such a grand event which was filled with interesting insights. All the talks were knowledge enhancing and it helped us to improve the overall learning,” he added. Prof. Kumar also discussed the findings of his research on SMEs.

In the end, the Apeejay was felicitated with a memento and certificate.
