Academicians from across the world discuss on business sustainability and social well-being 

Professors from Apeejay School of Management and other Indian, foreign institutes meet at the recently held global conference

As per the United Nations Global Compact Report, social sustainability means identifying and managing business impacts, both positive and negative, on people. The quality of a company’s relationships and engagement with its stakeholders is critical. Either directly or indirectly, but companies affect what happens to employees, workers in the value chain, customers and local communities, and so, it’s key to manage impacts proactively.

To discuss further on how emerging technologies, will impact business and sustainable innovative business practices and social well-being, Confab 360 Degree, in collaboration with Sharda University, Greater Noida; ITM University, Raipur; Shri Jairambhai Patel Institute of Management and Computer Technology, Gujarat; Swami Vivekanand University, Kolkata; Mohan Babu University, Hyderabad; Ajeenkya D.Y. Patil School of Engineering, Pune; Guru Nanak Institute of Management, Delhi; and Wollo University, London Churchill College, United Kingdom recently held a global conference.

The theme of this two-day global conference was on business sustainability and social well-being. A galaxy of academicians and industry experts from India and abroad participated in this conference. For the same, Dr. Alka Munjal, Director, Apeejay School of Management (ASM) was invited as Advisory Board Member in the inaugural, and session chair on the second day of the conference in financial management track. Dr. Etinder Pal Singh, Deputy Director was invited as session chair in the marketing track of the conference.

The conference was held in both offline and online mode. Prof. Anuj Kumar from ASM was invited as advisory board member in the inaugural and editorial board head for the conference. 

During the conference, Prof. Anuj Kumar was also conferred with seven academic awards from different Indian institutes/universities  Some of the award includes, Outstanding Academician Award given by Sri Jairambhai Institute of Management and Computer Technology, Gujarat; Inspirational Leader Award received  NEF College Guwahati; Young Achiever Award conferred by Ajeenkya D.Y. Patil College of Engineering, Pune, and so on. On this achievement, Prof. Kumar expressed, “I am feeling blessed and humble to receive such recognition in higher academia from all corners of India. I am thankful to Director mam, Deputy Director sir and Dean sir for guiding me. I am also thankful for the support provided by my family, friends, well-wishers and fellow academicians.”

At the same time, more than 300 papers were presented by a total of 700 authors at the conference. The main objective of this conference was to bring all the academicians from India and abroad together in one global conference for joint research work.
