A celebration of goodness via a special assembly this school

Special assemblies are vital for students’ holistic development, fostering a sense of community and belonging. This is how the school ensures encouraging participation, boosts confidence, and provides a platform for creative expression. Through collaborative activities, students develop essential life skills, such as teamwork and leadership, crucial for their personal and academic growth.

On the occasion of Navratri, a vibrant special assembly was organised by students at Apeejay School, Noida presented a special assembly themed Goodness Prevails Over Evil. The event was honoured by the presence of parents as special guests, adding to the significance of the day.

The assembly began as the students of classes X-A and X-B took to the floor for an invocation dance – a heartfelt offering of prayers to Goddess Durga, setting a reverent tone. This was followed by the “Thought For The Day,” news updates, and a powerful self-composed poem that captivated the audience. A lively group song, accompanied by drums and guitar, received enthusiastic applause, showcasing the students’ musical talents.

A highlight of the assembly was a talk show centred on “Woman Empowerment.” Students effectively addressed key aspects of empowering women, acknowledging the roles of government and male allies in fostering societal change. The event featured vibrant, synchronised dance performances that further engaged the audience.

The special teacher mentor for the day, Ms Meghna Pancholi, was recognised for her invaluable support in preparing the assembly. She commended the participants and led the pledge for the Swacchh Bharat Abhiyan, emphasising the significance of maintaining a clean environment and inspiring students to be agents of change.

“Navratri is a time for new beginnings and celebration. Let’s reflect on the strength and grace of the divine feminine, and draw inspiration to face life’s challenges with courage and joy. This assembly isn’t just about festivities; it’s a reminder of the power within each of us”, says Ms Sonia Kapoor, PGT Business Studies & Activity Coordinator.

Athletic achievements of sports stars from classes X A and X F were celebrated and appreciated by the Vice Principal along with  Mr KS Rajput ( HoD Sports,) and Ms. Meghna Pancholi, TGT social science.

The ceremony also included the distribution of badges to Class Representatives, Eco-Champions, and Empathy Ambassadors for the 2024-25 session, bestowed by Vice-principal song with Ms Poonam Mittal-TGT social science and Ms Pinky Mathur, HoD Science.

Following the assembly, a Coffee Morning provided an opportunity for informal interaction with the Principal, fostering community engagement.
