Aditi Andotra works at SBI Life in the Model Town branch as the Business Development Manager. She is very happy in her job and credits this to her campus placement from Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) in Jalandhar.

In a quick chat, Aditi tells us of the immense growth she saw in herself after pursuing an MBA in HR and Marketing from the institute and explains how the teachers go the extra mile for every student. Read edited excerpts:

I was a student of medicine and had done my
B Sc in the same. But I did not want to go into teaching and my interests changed gradually. I was more interested in pursuing management. So, it was during the lockdown that I took admission in this course. Afterall, an MBA has a lot of opportunities especially with the growing corporate industry.

They were so good. All the students were simply great. And I had a great bonding with each and every teacher. Pooja ma’am taught me English and she was so sweet, always guiding me. Then there was Anu Shahi ma’am, who was so inspiring, guiding us till our last day at the campus.

Kanwal sir updated us for all campus opportunities in our final year. We had frequent mock tests and mock interviews at AIMETC, which helped us to understand where we were lacking and how we could improve. We practiced lots of group discussions (GD). I was taught how to take leadership in a GD and put across my points firmly amidst all the other candidates.

I loved bhangra and performed frequently on the stage at AIMETC. I did a skit and also choreographed a special dance performance at the fest. I was praised heavily by other college students for my choreography. I remember, Anu Shahi ma’am had given me this opportunity. I am so grateful to her.

I developed my confidence there. Everyone in the institute were so welcoming. The teachers and students at AIMETC were so cooperative and supportive. The teachers just need to see the zeal in you to learn and they will give their best to you.

So, within the first 2 months I had secured my confirmation. It was because I am very diligent in my work. I have given a lot of revenue to SBI Life and my branch manager ma’am encourages me a lot for that and also guides me frequently. I tell the customers smart investment options and the best financial plans. That’s my job!
