Young adults showcase their projects at the culminating exhibition

Principal, parents and teachers learn from students of Apeejay School International, South Delhi about their unique projects.

A culminating event is about sharing the result of the investigation, receiving feedback and celebrating the learning. At the event, students recall their information, synthesise the ideas and demonstrate their learning via presentations.

Similarly, to present their learning from a year-long research, students of Middle Years Programme (MYP) – V of Apeejay International School, South Delhi showcased their personal projects at the culminating exhibition.

At the event, young learners gave insights about their learnings from the research. Along with that, they introduced their e-portfolios on which they worked on, throughout the year.

The event saw the presence of the principal, parents, teachers as well as students. They briefly understood about the students’ projects and asked questions on their findings. They even gave their feedback and encouraged them to do more.

On successfully presenting the project, Mayank Sharma from MYP-V, said, “For my personal project this year, I prepared the Cook Book. I interviewed many chefs including Sunil Kumar, Executive Chef at JW Marriott.”

Another student, Nia Lobo from MYP-V said, “My personal project this year was to write a book on same sex couples. During this project, I was able to develop my ATL, interpersonal, research and thinking skills.”

Anandita Bhardwaj from MYP-V said, “My personal project was on ‘Episodes from life-A collection of short stories.’ During this research, I read many novels and collections of short stories, and created my own short stories based on heritage monuments.”

Meanwhile, Sarbboshree from MYP- V expressed, “My personal project was on a photo album on different themes. I got the chance to interview celebrity Jitu Savlani, who helped me to get more understanding about photography.”

Shaurya Sharma from MYP- V said, “I made my personal project on ‘Moving towards sustainability in Electric Cars.’ For the project, I interviewed two people Mr Kevin, who works as a Sales Manager at Tata Motors and Mr Kalyan, who is a physics teacher.”

Daksh Phore from MYP- V expressed, “My personal project was on making an Alcohol Detection Sensor, which is a step towards safety. I chose this topic because I am fascinated with the thought of driving.”

Vaishnavi Chaudhary from MYP- V expressed, “For my personal project, I chose to make a collection of 15 poems and illustrations. I chose this topic because I was always interested in creative literature as well as art.”
