The art of reading

We have heard many times that books are human’s best friend, today I will be proving to you that the fact is not wrong. You see, we find art in books, not words. It is not just a few scribbles or prints from the publishers but it is the door to skills. The fact that literature is the art of reading and reading is the form of understanding, the expressed feeling in the form of words is true.

Reading has always been beneficial in life whether in old age, working people or student life. It has always given us the key to more knowledge.

Reading, not only tells us the expressions of the character but provides the direction of the new world of opportunities, ideas, and imagination. It allows us to become intellectual about the things happening around us.

Reading as a Hobby

Reading is one of the best hobbies one can have in today’s life, which is filled with competition. It helps us to understand things better, I find reading as the best tool to explore creativity and ideas in one’s imagination. Believe it or not, it is absolutely fun to read different types of books. The variety of genres available in the vocabulary and the knowledge it provides is helpful to us in many ways. Reading has always been necessary for education and skill or personality development. We should devote at least 30 minutes to daily reading. The benefits you can achieve by daily reading are unimaginable.

Importance of reading daily

The fact that most students read for less than 15 minutes is just astonishing, In fact only 23% of people read books daily. Books are the best companion one could have. If we start reading daily we eventually get a habit of reading. Reading helps us further in life. We can get an ample amount of information from just one book. Imagine the benefits of reading books as a part of your daily activity. Books always guide you to the right path in life.

Benefits of Daily reading

Self-development- Reading allows one to know more about their surroundings. We are the most important characters in our own lives. Books give knowledge for the story of life, for reaching the goals we think about.

Communication Skills- It improves our communication skills as reading helps us with our vocabulary and speaking skills which will help us further in life and personality development. Not only does it improve our communication skills but also gives us the ability to express ourselves in the simplest of words whether it be writing or speaking.

Reduces boredom- These days’ people get bored easily. So, the best part of reading daily is that it reduces boredom for example, during long journeys or in free time reading is the best option rather than scrolling on our devices. Let me take my example: whenever I am going to my hometown I grab a book since the journey is of 10 hours. Not only does it reduce my boredom but I learn new things while on a journey.

Imagination booster- Reading works as an imagination booster for our mind in the most beneficial way possible because reading books daily gives us the freedom to think with our independent mind instead of going to websites and copying down the item we want to know about. It activates our thinking allowing us to imagine faster.

Pleasure of mind- I would like to add that when I read for my pleasure I get indulged in the particular book and experience a whole new world. We always feel excited when we are about to read our most wanted book or let us say a book in our favourite genre.

Conclusion

Now that I have talked a lot about reading daily, many people face issues in their schedule, for example, many times people ask how to make time for reading in student life or office life. Well, I would like to suggest that you must take out only 30 minutes a day which you can do early morning or before sleeping and these 30 minutes will not even disturb your schedule and will help you get habitual of reading.  The only thing is that you have to take the first step.
