Tiny tots steal the show at Janmashtami celebration

At Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld Jalandhar, children dressed up as Lord Krishna, Radha and Gopikas taking part in Janmashtami celebrations

Krishna Janmashtami, also known simply as Gokulashtami, is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna. Welcoming the arrival of Lord Krishna on Earth, tiny tots of  Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld in Jalandhar celebrated Janmashtami. 

Dressed up as Lord Krishna, Radha andGopikas, students wore colourful attires. They along with teachers performed aarti and sang bhajans. Mr. Malkiat Singh, Principal of the school, Ms. Nidhi Ghai, Headmistress Pre-Primary, Ms. Namrata Sharma, Headmistress Primary along with the school teachers graced the occasion. 

As part of the celebration, several cultural activities were organised. Kids as Krishna and Radha performed Raasleela for the audience. Immersed in the festivities, kids were also prepared for the ‘Matki Todh’ ceremony following which they were explained the importance of the festival and how people across the country celebrate Janmashtami by praying together, fasting, preparing and sharing special food, night vigils, and visiting Krishna temples.
