Power BI consists of apps, software services, and connectors that work together to translate unrelated sources of data into coherent, visually immersive, and interactive insights. It can also be used for number-crunching and generating, publishing, and viewing business reports.

Thus, to familiarise budding techies with new and emerging technologies, School of Engineering and Technology (SOET) at Apeejay Stya University, Gurgaon recently organised a one-day seminar on ‘Big Data Analytics using Power BI’. The seminar focused on how Power BI is used for data analytics.

The programme started with a welcoming of the guests and experts by Dr. Garima Sharma, Assistant Professor at SOET, during which she said,  “The big data workshop is a wonderful opportunity for the students to get chance to learn about basics of  Power Bi from an expert like Mr. Amarjeet Singh, Data Scientist & Business Analyst. The discussion session coupled with a hands-on session will be extremely helpful for the students to try what they have learnt under the guidance of the expert.” The seminar was attended by Prof. RS Dhankar, Vice Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, Prof. Moin Uddin, Distinguished Professor at ASU, Mr. Amarjeet Singh, and Mr. Altaf from the TCA organisation.
