Universities are full of opportunities, but sometimes it becomes challenging to get admission to your favourite university. This is when students need support and guidance from experts, who can explain the aspirants about different courses, career prospects and navigate them through the process to apply for universities in India and abroad.

With this motive, Apeejay School International – South Delhi recently hosted a ‘University Connect’ seminar for the students of Middle Years Programme-III to Diploma Programme- I. The aim of this seminar was to brief students about the process of applying in universities abroad for further education.

Ms. Tonya Hass, Special Populations Recruiter (International Admissions & Recruitment) at the Arkansas State University, was the resource person for the session.

At the seminar, Ms. Hass introduced the university with its 160+ courses and other attractive facilities to the students. She talked in detail about how students have the freedom to shape and structure their own curricular and extracurricular growth.

Further, she imparted important insights about the circuitous process of application and admission to foreign universities. Students were keen to know about opportunities for internship and employment after graduating from the university.

Ananya Gupta, a student of Diploma Programme- I expressed, “Arkansas University is a public university known for its hospitality and accommodative facilities. The session with Tonya Hass gave us a vivid image of the lifestyle in the mid-western university. The wide-ranging programmes can be adapted to our needs—a unique quality that not a lot of universities offer.”

Another student, Vedha Jangir of Diploma Programme– I said, “Ms Tonya Hass from Arkansas State University visited our school as an international admissions coordinator. She exposed us to her university and the Western culture. It was a pleasure to see the versatility offered in the courses as well as the extra-curricular activities. The session was informative and enlightening for us as students, who wish to go study in an international varsity. It was certainly an important session for us.”

Meanwhile, Neha Sharma, the Diploma Programme Coordinator, said, “ASI provides ample opportunities to its young learners, to understand the varied courses offered by the best universities across the globe. Such instances help our students to get acquainted with the courses, application process and the qualifying criterion offered by the universities while helping them for a smooth transition into their career ahead.”
