Higher education offer students a nurturing educational atmosphere, practical experience, career advising, and opportunities for personal growth. “I believe colleges empower students to achieve their professional aspirations and thrive in the ever-evolving global workforce,” expresses Geeta Devi, whose daughter Priya Kumari is pursuing Interior Designing (4th semester) from Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar.

Excerpts from the interview

How has your daughter’s journey been so far?

Priya has always been a keen learner and had an inclination towards academics since early childhood. Her interest totally lies in interior designing and this is the reason she has picked up this subject here.

How did Priya choose ACFA?

This institute is the best in our city. It’s one the finest and most reputed colleges and has a great lineage. Infrastructure and facilities wise, the institute is the best and since we also reside nearby, sending my daughter here was a choice by default. Moreover, my daughter found the subject of her choice here.

How has your interaction been with the faculty here?

I have interacted with them several times. They always guide the students well and behave more like friends with them. If we look at the ranks of the students here, it’s always high. This shows how hard the teachers are working towards creating learned and bright students.

What are Priya’s future plans?

She wants to open her firm dedicated to interior designing. She aspires to create her brand identity and achieve success in that.

What apart from studies does Priya enjoy at college?

There are events like fashion shows, dance competitions and other activities that keep my daughter busy. She is always excited to participate and prepare for these events and I am happy to see her cheerful and enthusiastic attitude getting honed here. I would like to give full marks to this college.

What is your daughter’s daily routine?

She leaves the house by 8 am since her classes usually start by 9 am. Normally she is at college till 1 pm to 2 pm and is then back home by 3 pm. She takes her lunch and then sleeps for a while. In the evening, she likes to go for long walks or grocery shopping with me. Once we are home, we eat dinner and sleep early.
