Searching for an apt school for the child can be a formidable task for any parent. There is a whole checklist that needs to be cleared before a parent finally zeroes down on that ‘one’ school. “This school ticked all the boxes in my checklist,” Papiya Nag, mother of Angura Nag, a class XI student at Apeejay School, Noida, said.

She also shared that finding a suitable school for her daughter was very stressful in a new city but then selecting Apeejay became an easy decision merely through word of mouth for being the best school.

Excerpts from the interview.

How did you select Apeejay as an admission choice?

After my husband got transferred to Delhi-NCR we were looking for an apt school for my child. We researched a lot and found that Apeejay is one of the best schools that holds a strong traditional legacy. So we planned the admission and finally, my daughter got selected.

Share something about her school journey so far.

The standard of education in this school is excellent. Actually, my daughter is shy, so when online classes were going on during the pandemic time, the teachers went out of their way to help her understand the subjects clear all her doubts, and teach her how to work harder on her weak areas. She could cope very well with the support of her teachers and seeing this we are very happy.

 Are the teachers easily approachable?

The teachers at Apeejay are extremely cooperative, their general attitude is always aimed at improving my daughter. They give regular feedback during PTMs and are always available over phone calls. My kid is exceptionally comfortable with all her teachers and there is a positive connection between all of us which is really nice.

How has Apeejay impacted your daughter?

I have observed a distinguishable change in my daughter which is positive in nature. There is definitely a holistic development in my child. After moving between cities continuously, my daughter feels secure in this school environment. The teachers understand my child’s nature and problems so well that it makes us feel assured that she is in good hands.

Is any pressure building up for the upcoming Boards?

At home, we try our best to make sure our kid doesn’t take too much stress regarding Board exams. We know for sure that Angura sometimes doesn’t share her personal stress with us and during those times teachers interact with her at school and that helps her keep calm. Since the Boards are a year away, there is still time to teach her not to take exam pressure.

What does she aspire to become?

So far, three years of her journey at the school have been wonderful. Her peer group is very cordial and respectful. She is surrounded by supportive teachers and staff and that makes a lot of difference to her overall growth and progress.
