‘Teachers in this school turned my shy child into an active and confident girl’

Shikha Mann, mother of Yda Mann, a student of class I at Apeejay School, Saket, says she is highly satisfied with the way her daughter is progressing with the help of her teachers. “I am very happy with the school and have no issue at all,” the mother says. Why did you choose Apeejay for Yda?

We had shortlisted two-three schools for admission in nursery but Apeejay School, Saket, seemed to be the most promising. Our relatives and acquaintances also recommended the school because of its quality of teachers and infrastructure. So, we enrolled Yda in nursery and I can proudly say it was our best decision. 

What impact did the school have on Yda’s overall development?

My daughter began her journey at Apeejay with online classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yda’s nursery teacher Lakhsmi Parvati ma’am engaged the students very well and made sure their education was not compromised in any way. I observed significant positive changes in my daughter at that time. Similarly, be it with Manisha ma’am in class KG or now with Rachna ma’am in class I, our experience has been very good.

Yda used to be a shy child. Now, I see her interacting with her classmates and teachers quite confidently. She actively participates in various extracurricular activities.

What can you tell us about the pedagogy at Apeejay?

The teachers promote activity-based learning, which has helped my daughter grasp lessons well. I remember how she loved storytelling classes in nursery and the activities based around that. These innovative practices make my child enjoy the process of learning. At the same time, the school inculcates good morals and values in her. She is very happy.
