Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrated Sports Day recently for the junior section. At the fun-filled event, students participated in various games, showcasing their fitness and athletic spirit.

The event was graced by Mrs Roshni Sharma, retired block education officer who was the chief guest. She addressed the gathering and enlightened parents with her thoughts and advice.

Not just the students, but even parents participated in a variety of fun races. Before that, the little ones also presented a show where they performed different yoga asanas. Some of them performed a mesmerising dance as well.

In December last year, the school celebrated its Annual Sports Day, which saw enthusiastic participation from students from all classes. Mr Suresh Kumar Malik, secretary of Sports Council at Chaudhary Bansilal University at Bhiwani, Haryana, was the chief guest.

A total of 30 competitions were organised in the school including various races, long jumps, high jumps, shot put, and discus throw, to name a few. The young achievers who bagged the first, second, and third spots, were recognised with certificates and prizes.

Various races were also hosted for the parents who attended the event; the winners were conferred medals.

“Sports is an essential component of education that is mixed with fun in our school. We would like each and every student to accept sports as a way of life and keep themselves fit and healthy.”
