Why did you select this topic?

When I came home from AIMC after my final exam, it suddenly occurred to me that things will soon change drastically. No more attending classes, taking the metro with friends to college, greeting all of the professors and friends at the college, or hanging out on campus or in the areas around it, where we used to hang out for hours, So, I really wanted to express myself or just vent it out via some media and I started writing. So thank you for publishing it as it meant a lot.

In the last one year, what has been your learning experience at AIMC?

In one year, I learned that when you do things practically, not only it teaches you more effectively, but also gives you a lot of exposure related to that work. Last year, while managing a team of 12 individuals for our Brand Case Study, I learnt how to manage and work with a team, produce a short film, complete tasks on time when you only have a small window for your client presentation, along with all the academic knowledge about the advertising and marketing industries.

Like you mentioned in your article, please share some more best memories from AIMC?

To be completely honest, this list may go on forever. However, I would like to especially highlight my college trip to Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, because it allowed me to get to know my classmates and mentors in a much better way. I will also never forget the bond we formed during these four days. Touring the city on a bus, looking at the starlights in the night, dancing around the bonfire with each other and not to forget the delicious cuisine of rajasthan including dal bati churma. Also, It was a unique enlightening experience visiting the forts, sand dunes, and Longewala where the Indian army fought the battle of 1971.

How did AIMC prepare you to face the challenges of the job market?

I suppose the curriculum is designed in such a way that it can expose us to the pressure that we might encounter in the future, preparing us better for the market. For instance, I genuinely believed that the numerous presentations I gave during my academic year helped me at least understand how to express my ideas clearly and concisely, also how to act practically when it comes to operations, and of course, the talent of management.

I have just started working with Communique Marketing Solution in Gurgaon as executive in concept and experience design, where we create experiential events, be it for activation, promotions or media drive, etc. As of now, honestly for the future, I don’t have a fully planned list but I do wanna create some impactful campaigns for the benefit of the society and well if it will get me some awards then I wont say no to that you know (winking emoji).
