In a candid conversation, she spoke about how the topic enticed her to write more and helped her achieve the title of ‘Scholar Journalist of the Week’.

Tell us about yourself.

I’m a person with a deep love for simplicity and creativity. Whenever I find a moment of free time, I immerse myself in the world of painting and writing. These activities are my passion, allowing me to express myself and find joy in the little things.

What came to your mind when you first had a look at this topic?

Watching Shinchan has always brought a gentle smile to my face. Inspired by this, I decided to write about him. Shinchan is such a funny character, and his dance always makes me laugh. As soon as I saw the topic of ‘my favourite cartoon character, I instantly decided to write about My Favourite Cartoon: Shinchan.

Who helped you with your article writing?

Mostly, I write all by myself but generally, I seek assistance from my father. He helps me by pointing out grammatical errors.

What is the process of your writing and researching about any topic?

When I’m ready to write, I just grab my laptop and open up MS Word. I simply let my thoughts flow onto the screen, without seeking external help from any other websites. I rely solely on my thoughts and creativity to guide me through the process. I typically begin with a simple introduction, then delve into writing about the character, episodes, or my personal experiences related to the topic. After exploring these aspects in the body of the text, I conclude my writing with a final summary or reflection. So, yes, I follow the format of introduction, body, and conclusion in my writing process.

Any specific topic which you would like to write on?

Yes. About my best friend.

Which was the first article you wrote and still feel proud about it?

My first ever article was about my love for painting. I crafted an article about my passion for painting, that has been a beautiful journey of self-expression and creativity.

How has the school helped you develop your writing skills?

The school consistently encourages me to explore new topics and express myself through writing. While they offer some assistance along the way, the process largely involves me delving into my thoughts and experiences to craft engaging articles.

Tips you would like to give to other aspiring writers

Writing doesn’t have to be as daunting as it may seem. It’s a skill that can be honed with practice and encouragement. By encouraging others to give it a try, we open doors to self-expression and creativity. You must write whatever comes to your mind, without giving it a thought.
