Apeejay School of Management (ASM) in Dwarka was reverberating with infectious energy as the former students, current PGDM students and faculty members joined for the gala alumni meet ‘Rejuvenion 2023’. The gala meet witnessed more than 100 alumni – from various batches – converge for a fun-filled evening.

At the 16th alumni meet, current ASM students showcased a live performance on the theme ‘ Time Travel’, featuring the good old campus days. Giving a flavour of ‘masti ki pathshala’ coupled with ASM’s key focus on holistic development of its learners to become the leaders of tomorrow, the enthusiastic students gave a glimpse of different activities like orientation day, synergy, mentoring sessions, placements, and so that are held on campus throughout the year.

This reunion was a beautiful blend of memories, music, and entertainment. The alumni of the college revisited and relieved their old memories from their college days.

Sharing her experience of being back on campus for the alumni meet, Divya Singh, an alumnus 2020-2022 batch said, “It is an overwhelming experience, with a lot of emotions, feeling so much joy. We were the COVID batch and we hardly got the exposure of this campus. So coming back to the campus, reliving those moments, it’s something we were yearning to get.”

Akshay Ahirwal from the 2017-19 batch  expressed, “We lived a memorable journey at Apeejay School of Management. ASM nourished us, gave us a holistic experience inducing theoretical and practical to be part of the corporate world. I have been working with ICICI Bank for 4 years.I am so happy to be part of this evening today.”

The enthralling performances by the students and alumni was followed by an address by Dr. Alka Munjal, Director at ASM, wherein she highlighted the accomplishments of the institute which has been ranked 4th best Private College in Delhi-NCR and  6th best B-school in North by The Times of India.

Further sharing 20 mantras for becoming a great leader, Dr Munjal emphasised how leaders don’t choose followers. The followers choose their leaders when they develop a sense of trust, respect and comfort. She also mentioned, “Integrity is the bedrock of your leadership.”

Highlighting how alumni are brand ambassadors of an institution, Dr. Ishita, Associate Professor (HR) & Head (CRC) at ASM said, “The alumni meet of ASM, “Rejuvenion“, has become a popular and powerful platform for all alumni to connect with the campus and celebrate the success of the institute and valuable brand ambassadors. Our esteemed alumni are also a very important stakeholder and contributor in this success. More than 40 alumni have supported us with multiple campus engagements, sponsorships, guest lectures, placement training and so on.”

Adding a new initiative, Apeejay School of Management has launched an ‘Alumni Referral Policy’, and under this policy ASM presented some awards. The awardees included Divya Singh, working at GMR-DIAL IGI Airport,  Saurav Kumar, Senior Relationship Manager at Aditya Birla Finance, and Shambhavi Vats, currently a Deputy Manager at ICICI Bank.

This was followed by an induction ceremony of the batch 2020-2022 into the alumni association that was led by Prof Kamal Kishore, Dean at ASM.

Dr Pooja Chaturvedi Sharma, Co-convenor – Alumni Cell at ASM said, “I think the success of any business school can be measured by the level of contribution made by its alumni to the society. At ASM, we are proud of the immense contribution made by our 28 batches of alumni in various fields globally.”
