Product, Policy and Brand Management: A BOOK REVIEW

The book has been systematically divided into two parts. Part I of the book is based on ‘Fundamentals of Product Management’, which throws light on the concepts of product and its management, role of product managers, product life cycle, diffusion models, developing a product manager, and the product planning system and strategies.

Whereas, Part II of the book is based on ‘New Product Development’, which explains the challenges faced by a new product during its development,  the test marketing stages and its alternatives, launching of a product, future trends of product management and success stories.

The authors of the book are:  

A.K. Chitale, (PhD), is an Academic Advisor and former Director at Govindram Seksaria Institute of Management and Research, Indore. Earlier, he was a Professor and Head of Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS), Indore. Dr. Chitale has authored several books including Organizational Behaviour, Text and Cases. Materials Management and many more.

Ravi Gupta, MBA (Marketing), is Director at Govindram Seksaria Institute of Management and Research, Indore and former Director at International Institute of Retail Management, Indore. Earlier, he was Registrar and Faculty of Advertising and Brand Management at Govindram Seksaria Institute of Management and Research, Indore.

The content I have read in this book gives a deep understanding of Product, Policy and Brand Management. I have covered all the important topics that will be helpful for my exams. When I bought it I never thought that I would get deep knowledge about the brand and how they deal with the customers. The language of this book is easy to understand and gives detailed information on every topic.
