Overnight camp experience at Durshet Forest and Lodge

It was a sleepless night because I was filled with excitement for the upcoming camp. In the morning, everyone gathered in the corridor with their bags at 7 o’clock. The buses arrived, and we walked towards them while our parents waved goodbye and wished us a great time. I sat with my friends on the bus, and we chatted and laughed along the way. We had snacks and made a stop at a food court for breakfast before continuing our journey.

When we finally reached our destination, the Durshet Forest and Lodge, it looked amazing. We collected our bags and gathered at the assembly area. The guide welcomed us and showed us around the beautiful Durshet forest. The weather was pleasant, and the scent of the damp soil was refreshing. We were divided into groups and assigned our rooms. We received an itinerary and were told to assemble at 1:30 pm for lunch. The food was delicious, and we quickly finished eating before heading back to our rooms to freshen up.

Our first adventure was rappelling, followed by the Tarzan swing and more. It was thrilling and a little scary to watch everyone, but when I tried it myself, I felt relieved and had an incredible experience. As time passed, we did more adventures and returned to our rooms. The day flew by, and before we knew it, it was night. We talked and went to sleep.

The next morning, we played games in a hall, competing with other groups. It was a lot of fun, and our team, number 12, became the runner-up. After having lunch at noon, the teachers and guide instructed us to pack our things. We felt sad about leaving, but the two days we spent at the camp were absolutely fantastic. We boarded the buses and arrived back at school, where our parents were waiting for us. We then went home.

This trip will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will cherish the memories for a lifetime.
