In a heartwarming celebration of the formidable influence mothers wield in shaping their children’s lives, Rhythms Kinderworld, Greater Kailash – II orchestrated the ‘Mom n Tot’ event. The event, aptly themed “ONE WORLD, ONE FAMILY,” not only underscored the significance of a mother’s role but also encouraged participants to embrace cultural diversity through their attire choices.
The event kicked off with the preliminary round of the selfie contest, where mothers and their little ones teamed up to represent different countries, capturing and sharing their cultural experiences through selfies. The response was nothing short of overwhelming, accentuating the communal spirit that this programme intended to foster. Notably, the selfie contest was also open online to the global community since August 5.
Dr Preeti Seth, Founder-director of Pachouli Wellness Clinic was the chief guest. She brought her visionary perspective on wellness to the event. Accompanying Dr Seth were Ms Charu Gupta, Additional Session Judge at Karkardooma Court and Ms Almas Soni, Founder, Alroz Aviation Institute. Their presence underscored the importance of education and the legal system in shaping the future of our children.
The event commenced with a touching moment as flowers rained down on the special guests, symbolising the nurturing love that mothers provide. Mrs Komal Nathani, Headmistress, expressed her gratitude by presenting the guests with mementos, showing the love and appreciation of the community for their invaluable contributions.
The heart and soul of the event lay in the captivating costumes donned by mothers and their little ones, representing various countries from around the world. The runway witnessed an enchanting parade of cultures, from the mystique of Egypt to the allure of Scotland, the tropical vibes of Hawaii to the elegance of Japan. These cultural expressions not only showcased creativity but also highlighted the importance of embracing diversity and fostering cross-cultural understanding from a young age.
The event was not just about fashion and fun; it delved into the realm of wellness too. An interactive session for young mothers was conducted by experts from Pachouli Wellness Clinic. Dr Seth shared her invaluable insights, noting how wellness programmes offer essential social, emotional, and informational support to mothers. These programmes cater to their nutritional, physical, and emotional needs, contributing to their overall well-being.
Sharing her pearls of wisdom on the big day Mrs Nathani, in her address, not only inspired mothers but also touched upon the significance of self-care in today’s fast-paced world. She underscored the importance of empowering mothers and their children to confidently express themselves, nurturing their individuality.
A “peek-a-boo” session on speech and drama captured the parents’ attention, stressing on the enriching and engaging aspects of these activities for their children’s development.
The climax of the event was the prize distribution, marking the culmination of a heartwarming celebration of the bond between mothers and children, through fashion and cultural appreciation. The winners of the selfie contest were: Ms Kanchan Kamboj, Ms Amrita De, and Ms Shiva Khurana. They were duly honored with trophies for their outstanding representations.
The esteemed panel of guests also announced the winners of the ramp show. They named Ms Sohini Chakraborty as the winner, Ms Karishma Ahmed as 1st runner-up and Ms Ipsa Chandna as the 2nd runner-up. These winners were presented with wellness hampers, further reinforcing the event’s focus on holistic health. A special mention was awarded to Ms Deepika Kedia, exemplifying the exceptional talent on display at the event.
The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving an indelible impression on everyone present. It reminded us that in a world filled with differences, the unbreakable bond between a mother and child remains a universal and cherished experience, a nurturing force that shapes the very essence of our future generations.
This event, in its celebration of maternal love and cultural unity, undoubtedly sowed the seeds of love, understanding, and harmony within families, fostering a brighter and more compassionate world for our children to grow and thrive.
