Marvellous performance by students at the inter-college open mic competition 

Held at Apeejay School of Management, the theme was ‘Sustainable Environment’.

With an aim to offer a platform for budding professionals to express their views on various contemporary issues, Apeejay School of Management (ASM) , Dwarka, organised an inter-college Open Mic Competition on the ‘Sustainable Environment’. 

Fifty shortlisted students from 9 different colleges such as Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute Of Professional Studies, Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Motilal Nehru College, Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, Jesus & Mary College, Bhagini Nivedita College, Trinity Institute of Innovations in Professional Studies, Janaki Devi Memorial College, participated in the event.

Dr. Alka Munjal, Director of ASM, inaugurated the competition on December 3, 2022. She lauded the efforts put in by the institution’s Outreach Committee in enhancing leadership and managerial skills among students through organising innovative events and competitions. Further, in her inaugural address she emphasised the importance of environmental sustainability. She also mentioned how participating in these competitions help students learn new practice skills and develop new approaches to problem-solving.

Ms. Komal Singh and Ms. Anmol Lalwani, first-year students of PGDM, were the Masters of Ceremony.

In the end, the first prize was bagged by Shristi Pruthi from Maitreyi College and the second prize was given to Agrima Bhatia of Banarasidas Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Kriti Kapoor from Maitreyi College won the third prize.

Sharing about his experience of participating, Aryaman Singh, student with Motilal Nehru College said, “The Open Mic Competition helped me break the taboo that I had limited to myself. I got an opportunity to meet new people, make friends, and experience my surroundings.”

Vipin Mishra, student of Trinity Institute of Innovation in Professional Studies expressed, “It was such a great event in which I learned many new things. All the coordinators were really helpful.  I’m really lucky to have participated in an event  like this. Zindagi me ye matter nahi karta ki aap jeete ya hare, matter ye karta hai ki aap kya sikhe. Big thanks to all.”
