Kaushal Bodh: A journey towards future-ready learning

To familiarise students with a programme focused on holistic development and future-ready learning, an introductory session on Kaushal Bodh was organised for students of Classes VI to VIII. The interactive session introduced learners to the vision and objectives of the programme, highlighting the importance of acquiring practical skills alongside academic knowledge.

The session began with an engaging explanation of the term Kaushal Bodh, where students learned that ‘Kaushal’ means skill and ‘Bodh’ means awareness. Teachers explained that the programme has been designed to nurture essential life skills while encouraging creativity, digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Students were also introduced to the idea that education today extends beyond textbooks, equipping them with the competencies required to navigate an ever-evolving world with confidence and responsibility. 

The facilitators provided an overview of the programme’s structure, including its weekly schedule, learning modules, and activity-based approach. Through interactive discussions, students gained insights into the various hands-on experiences they would participate in throughout the year. The emphasis on teamwork, communication, innovation, and practical application of knowledge generated enthusiasm among the participants.

A short group activity formed an integral part of the session, allowing students to collaborate, exchange ideas, and experience the engaging nature of Kaushal Bodh firsthand. The activity encouraged active participation and demonstrated how experiential learning can make the process of acquiring new skills both meaningful and enjoyable. Students responded enthusiastically, asking questions and expressing keen interest in the diverse opportunities the programme promises to offer.

The session concluded with words of encouragement, motivating students to participate wholeheartedly in the Kaushal Bodh classes and make the most of every learning opportunity. They were reminded that developing life skills like confidence, collaboration, adaptability, and self-reliance is essential for personal growth and future success.
