Apeejay School, Tanda Road in Jalandhar, celebrated Grandparents’ Day to show abundance of respect and admiration to the golden agers. The event was specially organised for the grandparents of students of classes pre-nursery to 3.

The day began with a special welcome dance by the tiny tots for all the guests, followed by a series of fun games for the grandparents.

Gearing up the enthusiasm, the school organised some fun games like guess the dialogue, song, and more. The children were very excited to see their grandparents participate in these games and cheered them wholeheartedly.

During the fun activities, all the grandparents were very sportive and brought out the child in them through their active participation. They also shared their beautiful childhood memories. It was a spectacular sight to see how enthusiastically grandparents performed bhangra.

The guest for the day was Mrs. Nisha Thapar, Principal, Kiddies Garden Playway School and Ms Deepti Kaushal, coordinator of the school, who took the stage to appreciate the efforts of students and congratulated the grandparents.

To honour the contribution of grandparents in children’s life, teachers surprised both children and their grandparents with ‘Memories to Treasure’. It was a heart-warming day with teachers, students along with grandparents coming together to celebrate little joys of life and love.

Towards the end of the programme, prizes were distributed for games and best-dancing couple. Grandparents of the children expressed heartfelt gratitude and appreciation towards the school for organising the event. It was truly a special day for all.

“Grand-parents complete our families. Celebrating this day was our way to show our gratitude to those senior members of our family whose experiences teach our children the most essential values of life. The grandparents’ day at Apeejay School Tanda Road witnessed huge participation of grandparents in the festivities.”
