He also elucidated the 3Cs that are quintessential to be successful as leaders. These are – Clarity, Commerce and Choice. Mr. Pradhan said that the choices we make are of utmost importance in determining the future course of our lives and that one must be clear about the goals they want to achieve in life.

Mr. Pradhan gave examples of leaders like AB Bose to highlight what empathetic leadership is all about. Further, he mentioned how Ms. Indira Nooyi, the CEO of Pepsico, brought home the point that one should not forget one’s roots.

Explaining various leadership philosophies, he stressed on the fact that in contemporary times leadership has changed from Machiavellian ideology to be more people centred. He explained that it is not ‘head count’ but ‘heart count’ which matters to be a successful leader, thereby mentioning the significance of empathy in leadership.

Mr. Pradhan also explained the 50-50 principle that both luck and hard work are important in determining one’s future.
